Problem Statement

The Senior In Transition (SIT) app struggled with low user adoption due to confusing design and inefficiencies compared to existing tools. Caregivers, the primary users, found it unclear and time-consuming. The goal was to address these challenges through research-driven improvements and a streamlined MVP.

Solution

  • Simplified app navigation with a bottom menu and nested items.
  • Introduced specialized emojis for quick caregiver status updates.
  • Limited communication to one family member per patient.
  • Enabled caregiver contact only during active shifts.

My Role

  • Conducted user interviews and analyzed feedback to identify pain points.
  • Synthesized findings into actionable insights through card sorting and thematic analysis.
  • Designed wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma to address user challenges.
  • Led usability testing with tools like Maze to validate and refine solutions.
  • Created a new branding proposal, including color palette adjustments and a simplified logo.
  • Prioritized and streamlined features for the MVP based on user feedback.
  • Collaborated with the development team as part of the delivery process to ensure successful implementation.
