Problem Statement

Catawba County faced a challenge with negative youth migration, as many young people were unaware of local career opportunities. K-64 aimed to bridge this gap by connecting education, business, and government. The challenge was to design a website that effectively communicates these opportunities while maintaining K-64’s established brand identity.

Solution

  • Maintained brand consistency with light, clean UI
  • Improved information clarity using tags, loading bars, and visual hierarchy
  • Designed dynamic form layouts for better usability
  • Optimized checklists by grouping related settings, reducing scroll fatigue

My Role

  • Designed a new visual concept while adhering to K-64’s brand guidelines
  • Developed a structured user experience to simplify navigation for different user types
  • Created a visual hierarchy to enhance profile page readability and engagement
  • Designed wireframes and interactive prototypes.
  • Established and documented design system updates for consistency
  • Collaborated with stakeholders and developers to ensure a smooth implementation
